Sermons and Bible Formation
TheFaithApp connects the sermon library, live services, and church-created Bible plans in one member journey.What Members Can Do
- Browse sermon series, audio messages, videos, YouTube content, and live services.
- Keep audio playing in the background and use lock-screen controls.
- Download sermon audio for offline listening and remove it later.
- Search published sermon transcripts and jump to a matching moment.
- Save a timestamp, give it a title, and keep a private sermon note.
- Open published clips and share them.
- Continue with a giving, Community Group, or Event action selected by the church.
- Follow individual, church-wide, or family Bible reading plans.
- Mark reading days complete and continue with grace days after an interruption.
- Share the Verse of the Day as an image card.
- Add Scripture to a private memorization list and review it at a helpful pace.
Organize Sermon Series
Sermon series use your existing media Categories.- Open Categories in the admin dashboard.
- Create a category for the series and add an image if desired.
- Assign audio and video sermons to that category.
- Members can open Sermons > Series to browse the series and its messages.
Publish A Sermon Clip
Only clips that are rendered and explicitly published are visible to members.- Open Sermons > Videos.
- Open the clips tool for an uploaded video.
- Generate or review the clip.
- When the clip is ready, select Publish to members.
- Use Withdraw if it should no longer appear in the member app.
Add A Next Action To A Sermon
- Open Sermons > Audios or Sermons > Videos.
- Select the next-actions icon for the sermon.
- Add a giving, Community Group, or Event action.
- Choose a short label members will understand.
- Save the actions.
Create A Bible Reading Plan
- Open Bible Reading Plans.
- Create a plan and choose Individual, Church, or Family.
- Add each day in reading order.
- Give the day a title, Scripture reference, and optional reflection prompt.
- For a family plan, add a household conversation prompt. Do not place private child information in the prompt.
- Choose whether the plan uses grace days and optional streak repair.
- Publish the plan when it is ready.
Configure Live Captions And Go-Live Alerts
- YouTube captions continue to be managed in YouTube Studio.
- For a church-managed stream, add an HTTPS WebVTT caption-file URL in Streaming > Live Streaming.
- Changing a stream from inactive to active sends one go-live notification for that transition.
- You may add an existing sermon media ID as the on-demand archive after the broadcast.
Privacy And Safety
- Sermon notes belong only to the signed-in member.
- Memorization cards and recall ratings belong only to the signed-in member.
- Family plans contain household prompts but do not create child profiles or child participation records.
- Only published plans, published clips, and reviewed sermon insights appear to members.
- Offline sermon files stay on the member’s device.
