Text-to-join setup now rejects built-in SMS control words, such as START, STOP, and HELP, when creating or activating join keywords. Choose a distinct word, such as JOIN or PRAY, for church text updates. Existing keywords are not changed automatically. An older reserved keyword can still be paused, and its name or confirmation reply can be maintained. Editing those details does not replace its text word or change its active state. Create a distinct replacement before sharing new joining instructions. This does not change subscription or help commands. Your SMS provider may reserve additional words.
