Pastoral notes are now only visible to pastoral staff
A member note marked “Visible to pastoral staff” is hidden from admins without the Pastoral Care permission, in the notes list, the activity timeline, and when deleting; the toggle only appears for staff who can use it.
When member profiles launched, a note could be marked “Visible to pastoral
staff”, but every admin who could open the profile still saw it. That is now
enforced.
Admins whose role does not include the Pastoral Care permission no longer
see pastoral notes anywhere on the profile: not in the notes list, not in the
activity timeline, and they cannot delete or write one. For them the note box
simply says “Visible to all staff” with no toggle.
Church administrators and anyone in a role with Pastoral Care see and manage
both kinds of notes as before.
