# Free church tools

> Prepare church text messages and a visitor follow-up plan without creating an account.

TheFaithApp’s [free church tools](https://thefaithapp.com/tools) help your team
prepare useful messages and plan a warm welcome. You can use them without an
account.

## Personalize a church text message

1. Open [Church SMS templates](https://thefaithapp.com/tools/church-sms-templates).
2. Add your church name and choose a message occasion.
3. Add any event details and a useful information link. Blank fields keep a
placeholder for you to fill in later.
4. Edit a message directly in its draft box to make it sound like your team.
5. Choose **Copy message**, or **Download templates** to save the messages shown.

Templates cover visitor welcomes, events, service reminders, volunteers, member
care, small groups, and giving thanks. Replace **\[First name]** and any remaining
brackets before sending. Use your messaging provider’s opt-out instructions.

Changing church details, message format, or opt-out text rebuilds the messages and replaces any
edits you made in the draft boxes. Copy or download the version you want to keep
first. Switching the message occasion keeps your draft edits.

## Prepare a visitor follow-up plan

1. Open the [Church visitor follow-up planner](https://thefaithapp.com/tools/church-visitor-follow-up).
2. Add your church name, sender, and the person or team responsible for follow-up.
3. Choose **Text message** or **Email**, then add the next service time and a
   visitor information link.
4. Review the first-week steps and edit the message drafts. Email drafts include
   an editable subject.
5. Choose **Download plan** to share the timing, responsibilities, messages, and
team notes with your welcome team.

The plan starts with a thank-you, offers optional next steps and an invitation,
and finishes with an internal team review. Adapt it to the guest’s contact
preferences. A personal reply takes priority over another generic message.

## Use the drafts with your church

These tools prepare drafts; they do not send messages, create visitor records,
or schedule follow-up. Your entered details and draft edits stay in the page and
are not saved by the tool. Copy or download them before leaving.

In TheFaithApp, you can use the text drafts in [Marketing](/product/marketing)
after setting up your SMS provider and subscribers. Use the
[new visitor journey](/product/new-visitor-journey) to coordinate actual visitor
records and follow-up.

JavaScript is needed for personalization, copy buttons, and downloads. The
example drafts remain available to read and select if JavaScript is disabled.
