# Automated visitor messages respect No follow-up

> A visitor's No follow-up choice takes precedence over earlier email or text permission.

**November 2, 2026**

Choosing **No follow-up** on a visitor's Connect Card prevents automated email
and text follow-up, even when permission for a contact channel was previously
recorded.

Messages already queued are checked again before delivery. If the current
choice is **No follow-up**, the message is skipped and its reason remains in
the visitor's follow-up history for staff to review.
