# Clearer SMS draft segment estimates

> Estimate GSM-7 and Unicode segments in campaign and template drafts, with clearer limits before sending.

SMS campaign and template editors now account for Unicode text, emoji and
symbols that use extra space when estimating message segments.

The campaign review shows estimated draft segments instead of a fixed dollar
amount. Personalized values, unsubscribe links and added opt-out wording can
change the finished message. Your provider's sender settings and charges still
apply.

Read [Creating an SMS campaign](/product/marketing#check-the-draft-segment-estimate)
for what the estimate includes and what to check before sending.
