# Safer text-to-give keyword setup

> Keep Giving keywords separate from text-message subscription and help commands.

Giving Access now rejects built-in SMS control words, such as **START**, **STOP**,
and **HELP**, when creating or activating Giving keywords. Choose a distinct word,
such as **GIVE** or **BUILD**, for your giving link.

Existing keywords are not changed automatically. Delete an older reserved
keyword and create a distinct replacement, or deactivate it if its other details
are still valid. This does not unsubscribe anyone or change how SMS control
commands work.
