# A clearer next action for visitor follow-up

> Plan one personal response from the visitor overview, with contact permission beside the task fields.

**October 16, 2026**

Visitor Inbox now gives staff a clearer route from a new guest response to one
personal follow-up task.

* Open a visitor and choose **Add a follow-up task** from the top of
  **Overview**, or **Review follow-up tasks** when work is already open.
* Check the preferred contact method and permission for email, text, and phone
  both before opening a task and while planning it.
* Choose a staff owner, one useful next action, and a due time using the existing
  task form, with clearer field labels for keyboard and assistive technology.

The shortcut respects **No follow-up** choices and closed or converted
journeys. A saved task is an internal reminder: it does not send a message or
prove contact happened.
